PA Coursework - How Hard Is It?
PA Coursework - How Hard Is It?
I'm pretty sold on becoming a PA, but I think a lot about how challenging the material will be. Is it watered down medicine? I really want to be challenged, and I worry a little that it'll be too basic and/or straight memorization.

I\'m not a PA student (yet), but I haven\'t gotten the impression from ANYONE that their coursework is anything but challenging. And to add to it, think about how much there is to learn; medicine\'s a huge field and you could learn for ever and still not know everything! The PA I shadowed said she loved PA school, but that it was like drinking from a firehose, (which is how medical students usually describe their schooling). I don\'t know you, so maybe you\'re an Einstein, but all in all, from what I hear, no one finds it easy-peasy-Japanesey. Hey, you\'re going to be doing what doctors do for the most part - how easy could it be? Just my $0.02 worth...

A physician assistant (PA) attends to patient medical care while under the supervision of a licensed medical doctor. The job responsibilities mirror those of the supervising physician, such as performing physicals, treating illness, and interpreting diagnostic test results.

Yeah...pretty much what jobtraining said. It's not "basic" or "watered down medicine". You will be challenged.

have to pull the ring gear on most Dana axles too, but as long as you put it back exactly how it came off you are fine.
