Shadowing can turn out great, but sometimes not. I'd be curious to hear from people who have shadowed and had a less than good time. Maybe we could all learn from it!

Well I wouldn\'t say it was bad but it wasn\'t great either. I first started the morning with shadowing an older PA who had been there for few years. She was just FABULOUS. showed me everthing, and explained everything before entering each patients room. After lunch she insisted i shadow the other PA. I was looking forward to her since she recently graduated from a school I want to go and there isn\'t much of age difference. Oh god those 4 hours seemed like 4 days. Every min going slower than the first. She may have been book smart but when it came to being street smart or at least social skills, she lacked at all. I would ask a question or make a remark i would get back \"oh\" or \"okay\". I was glad that was over. I always take questions, and learn from my other PA shadowing experiences, but other then that every other PA i have shadowed as been great. :)

Yeah, I guess there are all kinds. You should also give her some slack because it\'s hard enough being a new PA. When you add a student shadowing you, the stress can really mount, I bet.
