Pre-PA program vs. PA program

Post by mchristensen002 » Thu Mar 13, 2014 6:25 pm

I have a question on what the pros and cons would be on starting in a Pre-PA program vs. a Full PA program.
My hold up is that the Pre-PA program is offered at the university that I'm currently enrolled in and the Full PA Program is offered at another university close by that I would still need to get admitted into.
So I'm trying to make the decision of which would be the better route to take. Is there anything that would particularly benefit me from taking the Pre-PA program from the university that I'm enrolled in right now? Or would I be better off just going straight into the full program at the university that I still need to get admitted into?
Your response would be greatly appreciated!

I don't really think it would benefit you. I don't have a very high opinion of the pre-PA major, no matter where it is. If you want to become a PA, just accrue the necessary prerequisites and apply.
