Hello,
Several schools have anatomy and physiology listed as separate courses for their prerequisites. I feel like this is a stupid question, but Anatomy and physiology 1 & 2 typically fills this requirement right? I can't see why they wouldn't, I just don't want any surprises during the application process in a couple years.

Re: Anatomy and physiology
The schools will usually say so on their website, usually in their FAQ or if they have a specific page or download outlining the prerequisites. If in doubt, contact the school to find out.
However, from what I've seen, combined courses usually suffice. Some will say 1 & 2 must be taken at the same institution for continuity.

Re: Anatomy and physiology
Yes - usually they require one semester of anatomy and one of physiology, or a year it's a combined A&P course.
Re: Anatomy and physiology
Do the courses have to be taken with in a certain time frame before applying to pa school?
Re: Anatomy and physiology
Several of the schools I have researched wants to see an A&P course taken within the last 5 years.
Re: Anatomy and physiology
Yes, there is a time limit on how old prerequisite coursework can be for MOST schools. Contact that schools that interest you and find out what their limit is. 5 years is the most common, but for some schools it is 10.

Just wanted to add one faq to Paul's answer; most schools want A&P to be within 5 while the other science pre-reqs can be a bit older!
