Dual degrees

Yes, PAs can specialize. About half of them don't (they work in primary care). Here's the place to ask and answer about specialties and specialization.

Dual degrees

Post by amimi1028 » Tue May 15, 2018 3:31 pm

Hello,

I'm considering either going to PA schools for public health and PA studies, or healthcare administration and PA studies.

Has anyone been through this or know about people who have? And what is your experience like? Pros/Cons? Recommendations/suggestions? Is it worth it?

I've read that PAs who want to do public health work in other countries have to get a separate master's degree in public health if they only have a masters in PA studies. Is that the case?

I also want to be able to see if healthcare administration will be able to help me as a PA in the end. I'd like to be able to learn and know more about the administrative aspects of healthcare along with being a PA.
