Hi Paul, I recently purchased your book, crafting a winning PA school essay. Its a great resource, thank you for providing all the helpful info. I wanted to ask you something specific that I did not find directly referenced in your book. I'm having trouble trying to figure out a way to address my low overall gpa, 3.06 which is primarily a result of a few F's, and a couple of C's and D's however these grades are from 1992-1995. My college transcripts stretch from 1992-2004, when I was in and out of college a few times, until 2001 when I went back full time and graduated in 2004. My last 3 years in college I only made 2 C's and one D and my overall GPA from those 3 years is a 3.5, science GPA of 3.44. So I guess my question is how the heck should I address this in a way that is not too negative, and puts a positive spin on it. The bottom line is it wasn't until 2001 at the age of 27 that I started to take school seriously, and it's painfully obvious in my transcripts, but like I said, after 2001 my gpa is 3.5 with a 4.0 for the last 40 credit hours. I know your a very busy guy, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat as you! Check my essay out "41 and not getting any younger". I thinki addressed the issue pretty well.
