background worries

Hello, I'm wondering if I could get some input on a situation. Recently I had been stopped for a dui. My worry is how this will alter my status as a pa student. In my state a dui however is neither a felony or misdemeanor, it is a traffic violation. Because of this I will not be convicted of a crime but if convicted it will be a traffic violation so according to lawyers should not appear on my background check, but nonetheless I'm still worried about the situation. Will this still have an impact on my chances of getting into a pa school? Input is greatly appreciated.
