Army Veteran to PA

Post by TMasi » Mon Apr 16, 2018 2:35 am

Good evening, my name is Thomas and I am currently serving an a Special Operations Unit in the US Army. I am ending my enlistment in November 2018 and have a interest in going to school to become a Physician’s Assistant. I currently have around 300 patient care hours from working on combat trauma patients from multiple combat deployments, and will be attending an EMT certification course starting in July. I currently hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice but I do not have a stellar GPA (2.7). I am aware that I will have to attend a number of pre-requisite courses to get into a PA program, but I am concerned my low GPA from my Bachelor’s Degree will hinder me. I am looking to start school in the January semester as an undergrad student, attending my pre-req courses. If there is any information that you have that you think could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.
