Who writes your letters?

Post by mlh6093 » Wed Apr 02, 2014 8:14 pm

I work in an ER as a emergency room scribe. I work one-on-one with multiple PAs, DOs, MDs, and NPs. I have one letter of recommendation from a professor and another from a PA. My issue lies in this- I know all of the PAs and we have good working relationships, however, I have much better personal relationships with some NPs and the docs. Should I get a letter from another PA, as I am applying to PA school, or should I get it from the person that knows me the best? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

A letter from a physician would be completely okay. My letters were from two physicians and one professor. No problem.

I'm planning to apply to PA programs this round and was wondering for an academic letter of recommendation writer would it be better to have my letter from a science professor or would a non science professor be okay if I feel they would write me a better letter? I had a really good relationship with one of my english professors and she has already stated that she would write me a letter but I didn't know if a science professor would be better. I have a few different professors that I could ask however I don't think that they could write me as good of a letter as she would. I also was planning to get my other two letters from a PA and a PT whom I both worked with and know me really well. Thanks for the help!
