Letter of Reference Error

Post by ikareena8ma » Sat Oct 19, 2013 2:49 pm

Hi,

I submitted my application via Caspa and I got an e-mail from one of the colleges saying that one of my reference had made an error "She wrote Do not Recommend instead of Recommend", that certain college realized it was a mistake and they advised me to get it fixed because not all colleges would think of it as a mistake. After speaking to my supervisor she said she did make a mistake and would like to change it. How can she change that on Caspa?

-Please help me I don't want to be rejected because of a silly mistake.

-Thankyou

I suggest you call CASPA they will answer your question accurately and give you step by step instructions on what to do. I know other people on these forums have contacted CASPA and mentioned that they were very helpful.

-Good luck :)

VV is correct. In most cases, CASPA can't CHANGE anything. But with a letter of explanation from your writer, they might be able to add an addendum to explain.

BAD letter writer - shows they are careless in a big and bad way. If you go through another application cycle, I would encouraged you to find someone else to write for you. Letters of reference are too important to let something like that happen.
