Paramedic to PA

Post by medic-crowe22 » Sat Feb 11, 2017 11:44 pm

Hello all,

My name is Zachery, I've been a paramedic for about 5-6 years now and I love it!! I'm pretty nervous to start my path to PA school. I am going to talk to an advisor at a local college for some help in the field. I am planning on going to a community college for the first two years and getting associates in science, transferring to a university for a bachelor's in possible anatomy or something in the lines of that. Just want some feedback on what others have done in the past.

Thank you.

Zachery

I haven't done that, but it's a good route. Paramedic for 5-6 years is some of the best pre-PA health care experience you can get. If you get good grades and write a strong essay, you will have your pick of schools. Let me say it again: GET GOOD GRADES.

And when you do, get to know your profs a little so you can ask at least one of them for a letter of reference.

SUCCESS.

Paul
