Experience...doing what?

Post by theycallmesmiles » Sat Jan 14, 2012 5:58 pm

Hey there! I have a major in psychology, and plan on graduating with that degree next semester. I was planning on furthering my education in that field, but just recently I completely changed my mind and decided I would rather work in the medical field as a PA! I am taking science classes over this summer and during my last two semesters in order to get my prereqs. However, I understand that I need direct patient care experience. I've seen all kinds of options for that - medical assistant, phlebotomist, EMT, nurse, etc. What kind of experience could I get that would not require months/years of additional schooling or lengthy certificate programs? I want to be able to leap into things as soon as possible. Thanks!

Click on the \"Health Care Experience\" link to the right - there are 12 threads on the topic there. Good luck!
