Hi,
I am just looking in to the qualifications of applying to PA school. I currently have a 4 year degree in psychology with a concentration in neuroscience. I see that most schools are wanting to see 1000 to 3000 hours of health care experience or 3 years +. I am currently looking into going back to school to get some kind of health care degree to help me obtain a position where I can meet those requirements. I'm not sure what would be acceptable for the PA program. I am looking at a Practical Nursing degree (PN), certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) or the certified medical assisting program (CMA). Are there any thought as to those programs that might be better than another? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

It now looks like you can get the healthcare even if you are early retired and you dont have to get private health insurance for residencies.
