Reapplying

Post by Jlsinclair613 » Fri Jan 03, 2014 1:23 am

I applied for the 2014 cycle at several schools. I was denied from two, wait listed at one, and yet to year back from the fourth. I am trying to prepare myself for the worst, and start working on bettering my application for next year.

My stats:

Undergrad gpa: 3.47 (improved dramatically from freshman to senior year)
Prereq gpa: 3.1-3.3
GRE: 312
Hours: 3000+
Shadowing: 40hrs

I work full time and am only able to take classes online, but I do plan on taking one or two in Spring to improve my prereq gpa.

I know I will have to write a new personal statement, do I need to get different recommendation letters? Two of the three, (one was a MD, one healthcare supervisor, one professor), let me read them and they were wonderful.

What can I do to improve my application?

Also, I have about 100 hours of volunteer work so far.

If you are sure about your letters, then I suggest you work on your prereq GPA and plan to really impress them with a first class essay. I assume you have heard about our ebook on the topic, but in case you haven't:

We also offer essay critique and coaching for a fee. Find that under RESOURCES>Coaching Services.
