Wondering if anyone could give me any idea of how my overall GPA would be calculated in my situation. I have a BioMed Engineering Undergrad Degree, then went on to get a specialized certification through a post-baculaurette certification program, and am now in the process of finishing up a few additional pre-req courses at a local community college in preparation for applying to PA school.
How would my overall GPA be calculated? Does my post-bac course work count? My concern is, my undergrad engineering GPA is a 2.8. What brought that down was my upper level engineering courses that I got C's in. My science GPA now is around a 3.2 and will go up once I finish the additional pre-req's. If my post-bad courses and my community college courses are added in to my undergrad work my overall GPA will be over a 3.0. Also, my undergrad is from 2002, and post-bac work was done in 2003. I'm pretty confident I can get A's in the pre-req's I'm taking now. Anyone have an info on how CASPA calculates overall GPA, or how this is represented to the schools I will be applying to.
Thanks.
Do Post-Bacculaureate Courses Count
Re: Do Post-Bacculaureate Courses Count
My understanding is that post-bac undergrad work will be calculated into you CASPA GPA while graduate/doctorate level courses will not.
Re: Do Post-Bacculaureate Courses Count
Yes, my reading of CASPAs GPA calculation page seems to confirm this too.
